On October 8th, the Andalucía October Tour 2024 opened its doors in Montenmedio to host competitions that will attract riders from all over the world for a month.
Ovohorse sponsored the 2nd Qualifier of the Spanish Absolute Show Jumping Championship, where more than twenty of the top pairs in the national scene competed. The event was won by the host, Teresa Blázquez Abascal, with the impressive chestnut mare “Nasa de Toxandria.” Together, they achieved a faultless round in a time of 75.87 seconds, making them unbeatable by their rivals. The second position was claimed by Julio Arias Cueva, an Asturian rider, with “Filou du Manoir,” who would later become the Spanish Champion. In third place was Carlos Bosch Cebrián from Cádiz with “Jolie van der Berghoeve.”
Seven pairs managed to finish the Ovohorse Trophy without faults, including Javier González Fraga with “Sonic JGF,” son of “Diamant de Semilly.” “Sonic JGF” shares his sire with “Diarado” and “Emerald,” stallions available through Ovohorse. Santiago Núñez Riva also completed the course faultlessly with “Chakira Z.” The Núñez Riva family is a pioneer in cloning in Spain, already having a clone of “Quarella de Toscane” at their facilities in Asturias. “Cuarela de Capellán” is a stunning yearling filly with all the genetics needed to be a worthy successor to her mother.
