Cell Line Preservation
The first step for a future together
Our mission is to make our clients happy. We offer specialized services in genetic preservation and cloning of dogs, cats, camels, horses, and more. Our team of specialists and veterinarians is made up of animal lovers who completely understand and share the bonds that people develop with their pets.
Pet cloning allows you to obtain a genetically healthy and identical animal to an existing one. It is a simple and safe process that you can perform thanks to our cell preservation bank, where you can store biological samples until you decide to use this material for the cloning process.
If you have a beloved and faithful companion and are interested in animal cloning, our team of professionals can begin the process of replicating the animal once we receive the DNA sample (usually skin tissue). Our team will carry out the cloning in a specialized and secure laboratory using the best protocols and techniques to successfully complete the procedure. Additionally, all animals will undergo veterinary tests to ensure they are in good health.

How is the process of cell line preservation carried out?

The cloning process is very simple and begins with a DNA sample. It can be a cryopreserved sample or, in the case of a valuable animal with a premature death, a biopsy (skin tissue) immediately after its death. To carry out the process, we need to extract the nucleus from an egg (from the specified species) in order to fertilize this egg – which has no own genes – with the DNA sample. The union of this fertilized egg will result in an embryo.
Animal cloning is an innovative process carried out by Ovoclone’s specialized team, thanks to their extensive experience in reproduction, research, and genetics.
Ovohorse has facilities that are prepared and adapted to carry out any animal cloning or reproduction procedure with the utmost safety and the necessary protocols to successfully complete the process.
Our goal is to make your dream of enjoying your loyal friend for a lifetime possible…

Frequently Asked Questions
The procedure does not cause any suffering to the animal, it is simple, and it all starts with a small skin biopsy of 2 to 4 mm. This sample will be cultured and stored indefinitely in liquid nitrogen at -196 degrees. When the person decides to proceed with cloning, we will extract the nucleus from a recipient oocyte and fuse it with the genetic material of the animal we wish to replicate.
At Ovohorse and Ovoclone, we offer the possibility to preserve your pet’s cell line for as long as you deem appropriate. If you decide to store it for 10 years and later choose to proceed with cloning, there will be no issue.
Yes. Ovohorse and Ovoclone have a genetic bank where your pet’s information, obtained through the biopsy, is stored. It can be protected indefinitely, allowing you to make long-term decisions and avoid irreversible setbacks.
The new pet will be physically identical by 99.99%. However, the remaining 0.01% may vary depending on its personality, which is influenced by factors such as upbringing and diet.
Ten years ago, cloning an animal could cost around 100,000 euros; today, it costs almost half that amount. However, preserving an animal’s cell line is much more affordable. At Ovohorse and Ovoclone, we provide the assurance of safeguarding this genetic information so that, in the future, when the price decreases further, you can consider cloning with significant economic relief.
