In the late 1990s, Thierry Pomel crossed paths with a young horse that would change both his riding career and his life. A few years after their first meeting, and following years of training and dedication, Thor des Chaines led him to compete in the Sydney Olympics and the rotating final of the World Equestrian Games in Rome in 1998, where they won a silver medal.
