Ovohorse & Ovoclone and the Real Federación Hípica Española have reached an agreement that will mark a before and after for Spanish riders heading to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The OVO Group brand will preserve the cellular line of horses representing Spain in 2024 free of charge.
Safeguarding the genetic line will help further progress and innovate in the world of assisted reproduction, where Ovohorse & Ovoclone have been leaders for over a decade. It will also give riders the opportunity to clone their horses in case of any irreversible setback, ensuring they can have a copy of their stallion.
This gift is valued at 50,000 euros and reaffirms the commitment of Ovohorse & Ovoclone to national sports. This is not the first time the two institutions have collaborated: in May of this year, they formalized an agreement to “strengthen the promotion and dissemination of various aspects related to equine reproduction.”
Among the Olympic riders, veteran Juan Antonio Jiménez Cobo stands out. He was a silver medalist in Athens 2004, and at 65 years old, he is aiming to repeat his achievement in the French capital. Equestrian competition will begin on July 27 and conclude on August 6, the day of the Individual Jumping final.
