The CSIO Dublin (Concours de Saut International Officiel) stands as one of the most prestigious showcases in the annual equestrian calendar. This year, the event took place from August 14th to 18th, and ‘Cornet Obolensky’, a stallion featured in our Ovohorse & Ovoclone stallion catalog and currently the focus of an open bid on the Ovohorse Auctions app, played a pivotal role in the weekend’s most notable achievement.
A foal to be born from the pairing of the aforementioned stallion, a 2011 European Champion, with ‘HH Azur’, set a record at auction by fetching a total of 76,000 euros. Out of 24 embryos auctioned, this figure was the highest, underscoring ‘Cornet Obolensky’s’ significance in the search for top-tier competition horses.
Apart from featuring prominently in our extensive stallion catalog, there is currently an ongoing bid where anyone using the Ovohorse Auctions app can bid on embryos, pregnant mares, or born foals. The pairing involves Karenina, a direct daughter of the stallion L’Arc de Triomphe.
‘Cornet Obolensky’ wasn’t the sole standout at CSIO Dublin. Several horses from Ovohorse & Ovoclone also fetched substantial sums in closed auctions, such as ‘Balou Du Rouet’ and ‘Emerald Van’t Ruytershof’, each commanding bids of 22,000 and 30,000 euros, respectively.
