Legendary Origins

“Balou du Rouet” comes from a lineage of champions. His sire, the legendary “Baloubet du Rouet”, won the World Cup three times and claimed the Olympic gold medal in individual jumping with rider Rodrigo Pessoa. In addition, “Baloubet du Rouet” is the sire of numerous elite sport horses, making him one of the most influential stallions in the jumping world.
“Balou du Rouet’s” dam is “Georgia”, who has produced several approved stallions, including “Cornet’s Balou.” His maternal grandsire is the stallion “Continue,” a wonderful combination of the prized Holstein lines of “Contender” and “Tin Rocco.” Even his maternal granddam, “Georgette II,” daughter of “Sandro,” produced “Sandrissimo,” another great Oldenburg stallion.

“Balou du Rouet” is not only famous for his own achievements, but also for his remarkable offspring in the jumping world. Over 50 of his sons have been approved, including widely known names such as “Horse Gym’s Balzaci” with 23 international victories, “Baloutinue” (silver medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics), “Bacardi OLD,” “Burberry,” and “Balloon,” among others. Each year, “Balou’s” offspring shine in the five- and six-year-old finals of the German National Championships.
Foals descended from “Balou” are highly valued at auctions both inside and outside of Germany. Moreover, more than 85 of his offspring are competing in 1.60-meter events worldwide.

“Balou du Rouet” is not just an exceptional sire, but also has an impressive record of sporting achievements. He has won a total of 19 high-level show jumping competitions, standing out in the German National Championship finals with a score of 9.2. He has also competed and triumphed in numerous 1.50-meter Grand Prix events, cementing his status as a true elite sport horse.
In 2016, “Balou du Rouet” ranked seventh in the WBFSH world ranking of show jumping stallions, and in 2017, he held the ninth position, making him a benchmark in the breeding of high-performance horses.
